About me

I’m originally from Washington State, but moved down to San Diego when I was 18 and have been here ever since. My love for cars started way before that, though — on trips to visit my grandparents in New Mexico, when my grandpa would put me to work on whatever had to be painted and whatever had an engine. He taught me the love of working hard on something, and reaping the benefits.

Once I got to San Diego, that spark turned into a full-on passion. Being surrounded by car enthusiasts and SoCal’s endless love for good looking cars pushed me to experiment and learn more. Somewhere in the mix, I met my wife, who grew up in the auto reconditioning world, learning the ropes from her dad. Working with her and her family taught me the real art behind making a car shine again.

Since then, we’ve had the chance to fix up some dream cars, including a 1978 Porsche SC we bought on our honeymoon in 2024 (a full-circle moment for me). These days, my pride and joy is a Honda S2000, and we take it on as many adventures as we can. When we’re not in the garage, you can usually find us at local cars-and-coffee events, traveling or running the SHFT booth at shows like Formula Drift, surrounded by the people who keep this passion alive.

That same love for restoration, for transforming something worn into something worthy, inspired me to start CTM Auto Reconditioning. What began as a shared passion turned into a mission: to help cars across San Diego with the same care, pride, and attention to detail that first sparked my love for cars all those years ago.
